A drone attacked a scheduled bus in the town of Shebekino in Russia's Belgorod region on October 16, injuring four women, the regional operational headquarters said, describing the figure as preliminary. Interfax reported that the headquarters made the announcement on Friday. According to the headquarters, self-defence fighters took the injured to the Shebekino central district hospital. One woman was diagnosed with an incomplete leg amputation and is in serious condition. A second woman had minor wounds to the chest, shoulder, hand and legs, and a third was preliminarily diagnosed with acoustic barotrauma. The fourth woman received shrapnel wounds to the chest, neck and shoulders and will continue treatment as an outpatient, the headquarters said. Kommersant reported that one of the patients had already been discharged to outpatient care, and described two of the passengers as having minor shrapnel wounds to the body and limbs. TASS first reported at 09:40 that one person had been injured in the attack and was being taken to hospital, and at 10:54 reported that the number of injured had risen to four. [ 1 , 2 ]
Interfax reported that in Shebekino the detonation of another drone damaged a private house and set a car on fire, and that an FPV drone attack damaged a social facility in the village of Malomikhaylovka (Маломихайловка) in the Shebekino district. Vedomosti recalled that on October 13 a 16-year-old was injured in Shebekino when a drone attacked a car; according to the regional headquarters, he suffered a chest wound and was in extremely serious condition, and another man was wounded in the abdomen and leg. Vedomosti also reported that drones attacked three enterprises in the Shebekino district earlier that day. [ 4 , 6 ]
