AI Everything runs until 7 October. Economy Middle East reported that it brings together more than 400 AI companies and startups, more than 180 international speakers, over 200 investors managing about $100 billion in assets, more than 50 government entities and more than 20 unicorns, with participants from more than 70 countries. WAM reported the opening with 400 exhibitors and 180 speakers. The programme covers sovereign AI, agentic systems, AI-native economies, intelligent infrastructure, energy, cybersecurity and enterprise deployment, according to Economy Middle East. [ 11 , 14 ]

Economy Middle East said the event is organised by inD and hosted by the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi, with Solutions+, a Mubadala company, as global partner, under the theme “The New Intelligence Order from Abu Dhabi, the AI Capital of the World.” Organisations it listed as participating include the Advanced Technology Research Council, G42, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Mistral AI and Dell Technologies, with Mistral AI co-founder and CEO Arthur Mensch and Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert among the speakers it named. NetApp said it would exhibit at the summit and that its CEO, George Kurian, would take part in a fireside chat titled “Can AI Be Trusted? The New Architecture of Sovereign, Secure and Safe AI.” Suhail Hasanain, senior director and general manager for the Middle East and Africa at NetApp, said Abu Dhabi's ambition to become an AI-native government reflects a broader regional shift, adding that “scaling AI is ultimately a data challenge.” Separately, TRENDS Research & Advisory said it is presenting a knowledge pavilion combining research content with AI-powered interactive experiences. Rawdha Al-Marzooqi, head of the distribution and exhibitions sector at TRENDS, said the pavilion uses AI tools to introduce visitors to the group's research and provide access in more innovative ways, and that such exhibitions allow direct engagement with researchers. Hazza Al Hammadi, director of the exhibitions department, said visitors can engage with the group's latest research and publications through smart technologies. [ 1 , 2 , 5 ]

Global Food Week runs until 8 October under the theme “Building Scalable Food Futures Together,” organised by ADNEC Group in strategic partnership with ADAFSA and held under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of ADAFSA. The programme includes the Global Food Security Summit, the AgriTech Forum, the Farmers Majlis, the FAO Policy Majlis, a World Organisation for Animal Health GCC and Africa workshop, YALAFAST, the Abu Dhabi Date Palm Exhibition and the Abu Dhabi Honey Forum, and India is guest of honour, according to the announcement carried by Aletihad. WAM reported separately that the Abu Dhabi Honey Symposium and Exhibition opened at the event, that the Khalifa Fund is participating, and Gulf News reported that 11 Emirati food and agriculture businesses were showcased. [ 4 , 6 , 13 , 15 ]

The Abu Dhabi Media Office said Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, attended the inauguration and the opening of the Global Food Security Summit, which was also attended by officials including Foreign Trade Minister Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and Bahrain's Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak. [ 10 ]

In a statement on X, Sheikh Mansour said the UAE continues to work with partners to develop innovative solutions that strengthen and sustain food security, and that the aim is “a more resilient and efficient food system that preserves resources and adapts to emerging challenges.” The National reported that the summit brings together governments, international organisations, investors, researchers and food industry leaders to examine ways to protect supplies amid climate change, geopolitical tension, supply-chain disruption and rising costs, with discussions on international co-operation, artificial intelligence, sustainable water management and technology. The same report recalled that Khalifa Al Marar, Minister of State, warned on 17 September at a UN General Assembly side meeting that threats to global supply chains could push tens of millions into acute food insecurity. Por qué importa

The two openings place Abu Dhabi's main exhibition centre at the middle of an international AI industry gathering and a global food-security summit in the same week, which the organisers present as evidence of the emirate's ability to host large events at once. Because the AI summit is described as drawing investors, unicorns and government entities from more than 70 countries, and the food summit is framed around supply-chain and climate pressures, both carry relevance for readers following AI investment and food security.
