Local Chorus has no accounts and asks for no personal details. This page lists everything the site stores or shares about your visit.

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which stories and features people use: pages viewed, stories opened, filters changed, searches, clicks on sources and shares. Google sets its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and processes your device type, browser, approximate location (from your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not store) and the pages you visit. We do not send Google your name, email or anything you type, apart from search terms. Data is kept for at most 14 months.

To find stories by meaning, the text you type in search is sent to OpenAI to be turned into numbers that can be compared with stories. It is not linked to you, and under OpenAI's API terms it is not used to train their models.
"Report a problem" saves the story and the text you write, nothing else. Please do not include personal details.
The site runs on our own server behind Cloudflare, which handles every request and may log IP addresses for security, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. Our server keeps short technical logs of requested pages without IP addresses.
Stories are written by AI (DeepSeek) from published local news. Only the outlets' public articles are sent to it, never anything about readers.
