A writer on Resident Evil Requiem said the game's story DLC will continue the storyline of Umbrella founder Oswell Spencer, the tech outlet 3DNews reported. Haris Orkin made the remarks at Meadowlark Comic Con 2026 in Medford in the United States, according to the report. [ 2 ]
“We have Spencer's storyline in Requiem. In [the game] it becomes clearer, and in the Requiem DLC you will understand it all even better. I probably shouldn't have said this, but never mind,” Orkin said, laughing nervously, according to 3DNews. The outlet said a Reddit user, Howerev, spotted the comment, and that video of the interview was published by the YouTube channel Distance Nerding. The convention took place in late July, but the video appeared only recently, 3DNews reported. [ 2 ]
Capcom has not published official details about the expansion, the documents said. Igromania reported that a story DLC is in preparation but that the publisher and developer is not yet disclosing official information about it, and the community outlet DTF said there has been no news about the add-on since it was announced. 3DNews also cited the insider AestheticGamer, also known as Dusk Golem, who had previously said the story DLC would arrive in late 2027, would surprise with its scale and would let players visit Oswell Spencer's mansion from the original Resident Evil. The documents do not say whether that claim has been confirmed. [ 2 ]
Resident Evil Requiem was released on 27 February for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch 2, according to 3DNews. The outlet reported that the game received “very positive” reviews on Steam with a 95% rating and sold 8 million copies. [ 2 ]
Почему это важно
Resident Evil Requiem has sold 8 million copies, so any detail about its downloadable content draws attention from a large international audience. The remarks remain a writer's comment rather than an announcement, and Capcom has not confirmed the DLC's content or timing.
