Plaud announced the earbud-type AI device Plaud One on 21 October at a presentation held in Tokyo. The price is 44,000 yen, and it is due in limited quantities within 2026. Pre-registration opened on 21 October; Mynavi News said it began at 19:00 on the direct sales site and that registrants receive credits worth 3,520 yen. [ 1 , 2 , 4 , 5 ]
Plaud One combines wireless earbuds with a charging case. Impress Watch said the earbuds support active noise cancelling and Bluetooth 5.4 and record for up to 6 hours, while the case has four MEMS microphones, a speaker, a record button and an AI agent button, and records for up to 25 hours. The case has a built-in eSIM and, according to Impress Watch and Mynavi News, works free over 4G LTE in more than 80 countries and regions including Japan, so it can upload recordings and use the AI agent without a smartphone. Mynavi News said the carrier has not been made public. [ 4 , 5 ]
Impress Watch and Mynavi News gave the same example command, asking the agent to summarise the day's meetings and create a follow-up for the team. Impress Watch said the agent then prepares a document and sends it to the team once the user consents. It said agent use consumes credits under a new setting in the Plaud app plans, that each plan gets a set amount in 2026, and that the Plaud app requires a separate fee. Mynavi News said some agent functions, including launching the agent from the earbuds, will arrive in later updates, and that availability and timing differ by region. [ 4 , 5 ]
The company also announced updates to Plaud Intelligence. Keitai Watch listed the main new functions as artifacts, connectors, skins and routines: recordings are turned into slides, text or PDF files, shared through services such as Google Calendar, Slack and Notion, and repeated tasks can be saved and run on a schedule. Impress Watch described saved skills and a memory function, and said the features will also be offered in the corporate Plaud Team service. [ 1 , 4 ]
Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition, a card-type recorder, goes on sale on 29 October at 29,700 yen. Mynavi News said it adds Super Mic microphones with a signal-to-noise ratio of 68 dB, is 2.99 mm thick and weighs 30 g. When it detects a nearby phone by Bluetooth it sends recordings to the Plaud app automatically; this works only with iPhone for now and needs location access permission. AI then produces a transcript and summary. [ 1 , 4 , 5 ]
Plaud Head of Sales Naoyuki Suzuki (鈴木直幸) said Plaud is evolving from a tool that records into an AI agent that completes work. He said device users worldwide have passed 3 million, with growth accelerating, and that stores handling its products in Japan exceed 1,000. Impress Watch said he added that the company will keep focusing on individual and corporate sales while preparing a base for larger enterprise customers. [ 1 , 4 , 5 ]
Why it matters
Plaud said it is moving from a tool that records to an AI agent that completes work, and it said it will build a base for larger enterprise customers.
