ASUS JAPAN, the Japanese unit of ASUSTeK Computer, announced on 21 October the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM and ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM, two 4K OLED gaming monitors under the Republic of Gamers brand. They go on sale in sequence from 23 October, according to the reports. ASCII.jp said they will be sold at electronics retailers and online shops nationwide. [ 1 , 4 , 6 ]

ASCII.jp gave the prices as 232,920 yen for the PG32UCWM and 205,820 yen for the PG27UCWM. Mynavi News said both are open-price products, with the maker's expected prices at about those amounts. PC Watch said all four ROG models it covered are open-price, with expected street prices from about 159,120 yen to about 232,920 yen. [ 1 , 4 , 7 ]

The PG32UCWM is a 31.5-inch model and the PG27UCWM a 26.5-inch one. Both use a tandem RGB OLED panel in a True RGB stripe layout, which drops the white subpixel of earlier WOLED panels. ASCII.jp and Mynavi News said this widens colour gamut volume by up to 27%. The monitors cover 99% of DCI-P3 and support 10-bit colour. [ 1 , 3 , 4 ]

A dual mode lets users switch between 4K/240Hz and FHD/480Hz. ASCII.jp said this is done with a hotkey. Response time is 0.03ms (GTG), and ASCII.jp added support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. A TrueBlack Glossy coating cuts reflections by 38% compared with earlier glossy WOLED panels, according to ASCII.jp and Mynavi News. The monitors also support Dolby Vision and DisplayHDR 400 True Black. [ 1 , 4 ]

On panel protection, the reports said GaNFET technology reduces waste heat by about 35% and exhaust temperature by about 10%. A Neo proximity sensor turns the screen black when the user leaves, to limit burn-in. ASCII.jp and 4Gamer.net said the sensor has five motion sensitivity levels and an auto-away timer of 1 to 15 minutes. Inputs include DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20, two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB Type-C port with up to 90W power delivery. [ 1 , 4 , 6 ]

PC Watch reported that the ROG Strix OLED XG32UQDMS and XG27UQDMS also go on sale from 23 October. It described the XG32UQDMS as a 31.5-inch model with a third-generation QD-OLED panel and an expected price of about 172,620 yen. It described the XG27UQDMS as a 26.5-inch model with a fourth-generation tandem QD-OLED panel and an expected price of about 159,120 yen. ASCII.jp separately reported both QD-OLED models at 4K/240Hz and 0.03ms response time, from 159,120 yen. [ 5 , 7 ]
