Nexon said on 21 October that it had started pre-selection of servers and character names for Tempal: Overgeared (템빨: 오버기어드), a new MMORPG developed by Gray Games, Newsis and Inven reported. In the equipment pre-selection event, users combine materials using participation tickets to craft equipment, and depending on the stage of crafting reached they can obtain equipment choice boxes such as the Masterpiece of Master Craftsman Khan of Winston and the Masterpiece of the Forgotten Legend Grid. The game uses a system of dimensions, in which each server functions as one dimension. Users can move to another dimension to gather minerals or take on bosses that appear only in certain areas, so activities beyond combat, such as mining and crafting, are tied to moving between servers. Kyunghyang Games reported that the company said it ended at 17:22 on 21 October, about six hours after it began, on all 19 servers, and that the Legas server closed within three minutes of the start. Newsis and Inven said the original recorded 1.3 billion combined views on Kakao Page and 85.28 million cumulative likes on the Japanese platform Piccoma, where it also won the Piccoma Award 2023. Nexon handles publishing and plans to launch the game this year in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau as a cross-platform title for PC and mobile.
