"Russian-Chinese relations have a strong bond and are progressing rapidly," Krasnov said, according to RIA Novosti and Interfax. He said the volume of economic and humanitarian ties between the countries keeps growing, and that the importance of reliable legal infrastructure between them rises at the same time. [ 1 , 3 ]
Krasnov said citizens and organisations must be confident that their rights will be effectively protected regardless of which of the two countries they study, work or do business in. He called this a common task of courts, justice bodies and all legal institutions of Russia and China. [ 1 , 3 ]
He said he was sure a comprehensive approach involving courts, justice bodies, and scientific and educational institutions would allow a systematic and flawless mechanism of Russian-Chinese legal cooperation to be built. Interfax reported that he quoted the Chinese statesman Zhang Juzheng (Чжан Цзюйчжэн): "The difficulty is not in establishing a law but in ensuring its strict implementation." [ 3 ]
Krasnov said the justice ministry headed by He Rong has significant practical experience in legal assistance. He spoke in favour of expanding professional contacts between Russian courts and Chinese colleagues on issues that arise when cases are heard. [ 1 , 3 ]
Interfax reported that he named scientific and educational activity, staff training and professional development as a promising direction. He recalled that in May this year the leaders of the two countries launched the Year of Russian-Chinese cooperation in education in Beijing, and said it was important to fill that initiative with concrete projects. [ 3 ]
RIA Novosti also carried headlines saying Krasnov described the principles of introducing artificial intelligence into court work in Russia and China, and that he visited the Smart Court laboratory in Beijing. The available text gives no details of either. [ 1 ]
