SEHA CLINICS, part of PureHealth, said it has become the first healthcare provider in the UAE and the MENA region to achieve the American Accreditation Commission International (AACI) Endoscopy Services Certification. The provider said the certification reinforces its delivery of internationally benchmarked endoscopy services that support earlier diagnosis and improved patient outcomes across Abu Dhabi. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]

The certification was awarded following an independent assessment and is valid for the period 2026–2029, according to the announcement. It recognises SEHA CLINICS’ quality, clinical governance, patient safety and continuous improvement across its endoscopy services. The certification was granted to the endoscopy services at the Al Zafaranah Diagnostic & Screening Center in Abu Dhabi and the Oud Al Touba Diagnostic & Screening Center in Al Ain. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]

Dr Khadija Al Marashda, Chief Executive Officer of SEHA CLINICS, said every patient deserves confidence that the care they receive meets the highest international standards. She said the certification reflects a commitment to delivering safe, consistent and internationally benchmarked endoscopy services closer to home, supporting earlier diagnosis, timely intervention and better long-term health outcomes. She added that embedding internationally recognised standards in community healthcare contributes to Abu Dhabi’s ambition of building one of the world’s leading healthcare systems. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]

The provider said the milestone gives patients greater confidence that they can access safe, internationally accredited diagnostic care closer to home, reducing the need to seek specialist services elsewhere, and supporting earlier detection of gastrointestinal conditions and faster clinical decision-making. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]

Por qué importa

The accreditation is presented by the provider and by state-linked outlets as a step in Abu Dhabi’s effort to build an internationally benchmarked healthcare system, and as a way to let patients access accredited diagnostic care locally rather than travelling for specialist services. For readers outside the country, the significance is limited to the regional first and to the standards it implies for endoscopy services in the UAE.
