The company declined to comment, saying it cannot respond to matters concerning customer pricing. Industry figures cited in the reports said the higher contract prices would gradually flow through, lifting Nanya's average selling price and profitability. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
Market research firm TrendForce expects general DRAM contract prices to rise 10% to 15% quarter on quarter in the fourth quarter, IT Home reported. It said manufacturers continue to direct advanced-node capacity first to high-performance server products, leaving the market short of supply, while consumer DRAM prices are also expected to rise because major makers have not changed course on output cuts. The reported price move follows a run of record revenue at Nanya. IT Home reported September consolidated revenue of NT$45.091 billion (about 9.492 billion yuan at the cited exchange rate), a monthly record for an 11th consecutive month, nearly three times January's figure and up 576.62% from a year earlier. Third-quarter consolidated revenue was NT$133.649 billion (about 28.133 billion yuan), a quarterly record, up 61.9% on the previous quarter and 611.7% year on year, the same report said. Revenue for the first nine months was NT$265.285 billion (about 55.842 billion yuan), also a record for the period, up 626.95% from a year earlier. [ 2 ]
