New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he would demand that US President Donald Trump stop all operations of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the city after its agents shot a man, RIA Novosti, TASS and RBC reported. "According to preliminary information, the agents surrounded him and the 5-year-old child in his car, then fired several shots," RIA Novosti quoted. The mayor said the child was not hurt but called the situation unacceptable. RBC reported that an ICE agent wounded the man and that Mamdani made his statement on X. [ 1 , 4 ]
"I called the president. When we speak, I will demand that he stop all ICE enforcement actions in our city.
