China's State Council working committee on disability affairs has recently issued a national disability prevention action plan for 2026–2030, following approval by the State Council, Xinhua reported on October 10. The plan outlines the guiding approach, main indicators, major actions, specific projects and implementation arrangements for disability prevention during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It specifies 18 main indicators, six major actions and 19 measures. [ 4 ]
By 2030, the plan aims to improve the disability prevention policy framework and prevention and control networks, significantly increase public awareness and effectively control major factors causing disability in priority areas. It also seeks to strengthen the overall capacity to prevent and control disability risks.
