New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin will miss the rest of the NHL season after injuring his leg in a regular-season game against the Washington Capitals, TASS, RIA Novosti, RBC and Kommersant reported on 10 October. RIA Novosti said the injury occurred in the 29th minute with the score tied 1-1. Shesterkin awkwardly twisted his leg while moving toward the goalpost and could not put weight on his right leg, the outlet reported.
