HomeView comes in two versions: a tabletop model with a domed speaker base and a model designed for wall mounting. As a smart home dashboard, HomeView can display camera feeds, adjust thermostats and lights, lock doors and close blinds through touchscreen or voice commands, according to Business Insider. Apple says it can show up to nine video feeds at once. TechCrunch reported that it also supports FaceTime calls, music, videos and photo slideshows, and comes with Apple apps including Calendar, Messages, Photos, Notes and Reminders. [ 13 , 16 ]
Both versions cost $299, but the wall-mounted model requires a separate mount costing at least $59, The Verge reported. MacRumors said the tabletop model comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray, while the wall model comes only in silver and space gray. MacRumors also reported that HomeView will not be available in the European Union because Siri AI is currently unavailable on iOS there; Apple provided no timeline for availability in the region.
