Dong-A University and Dongseo University have moved to merge their technology holding companies into a joint entity named Busan Tech Bridge Union Technology Holding, according to the two universities. Dong-A President Lee Hae-woo said the joint technology holding company would be a significant turning point that connects research results to the market and industry, and said it would foster innovative technology companies, create youth jobs and reinvest results in later R&D and technology startups. Dongseo President Chang Je-guk said combining manufacturing and hardware research with software and content application technology would create strong synergies for convergence problems demanded by industry, and hoped the cooperation would become a model for regional industry and universities growing together.
