Doosan Enerbility said it completed production of a 380MW-class large gas turbine for supply to the US AI company SpaceXAI and held a shipment ceremony at its Changwon headquarters assembly plant in South Gyeongsang Province on Oct. 6, according to Asia Economy, Seoul Economic Daily and Yonhap News. The turbine is to be used in SpaceXAI's large-scale energy infrastructure project in the United States, Seoul Economic Daily and ZDNet Korea reported. Seoul Economic Daily linked the project to sharply rising electricity demand from AI data centre expansion, and said Doosan Enerbility localised large power-generation gas turbines in 2019 and was the fifth company in the world to secure the technology.
