Unitree (宇树科技) announced a humanoid robot called the "H2-X Kung Fu Legend" (功夫传奇) on 21 October. Yicai, 36Kr, CLS and Jiemian each carried short reports of the launch, and 36Kr, CLS and Jiemian gave its maximum endurance as about 8 hours. IT Home gave the name as "H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian" (功夫传奇 守护). [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 ]

IT Home gave the most detail. It said the robot can lift a car with bare hands, kick a dent in a car door and act as a "personal bodyguard". It said the H2-X's configuration has not been announced. For reference, it said the Unitree H2 humanoid is 182 cm tall, has 31 degrees of freedom and about 3 hours of endurance, so the H2-X's endurance of 8 hours is a large increase. [ 1 ]

A CLS commentary published at 21:41 on 21 October said institutions expect the humanoid robot industry to enter a "1-10" stage as mass production ramps up, uses spread and software and hardware are iterated intensively. It added that one company worked with Unitree to build an embodied-intelligence showcase and application promotion center, and that another company's 3D vision solution is compatible with the Unitree G1. The summary does not name either company. [ 6 ]

On 22 October Jiemian mentioned the launch in a market note. It said the CNI Robot Industry Index, which the Robot ETF Penghua (159278) tracks, was up 2.29% as of 09:33. The note also said Zhiyuan (智元) would begin releasing seven results from 22 October under the name "AI WAVE". It quoted Wanlian Securities as saying the humanoid robot industry is moving from technical breakthroughs to large-scale commercialisation. [ 7 ]

Why it matters

Business outlets linked the launch to a rising humanoid robot sector, citing institutions that expect the industry to enter a new stage. The documents give no sales or pricing details, so the product's market impact is not yet clear.
