Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on 22 October that 630 drones attacked the Moscow region from the evening of 21 October to the early hours of 22 October. CLS and Jiemian reported that the great majority were destroyed by air defence systems at long range, and that another 163 drones were intercepted as they approached Moscow city. [ 1 , 3 ]
Jiemian, citing Xinhua, reported that Sobyanin made the statement on social media. He said the attack lasted from 20:30 on 21 October to 04:00 on 22 October, and that two people were injured in the New Moscow area of Moscow city. The injured are receiving medical treatment, and emergency rescue teams are working at the sites where drone debris fell, he said. [ 3 ]
