The LPGA Tour has announced its 2027 schedule of 33 events with total prize money of $147 million, Yonhap and Hankook Ilbo reported. Yonhap converted the total to about 198 billion won and Hankook Ilbo to about 197 billion won. Hankook Ilbo and Kukmin Ilbo described the total as a record. Commissioner Craig Kessler said in a press release that the tour had "put together a strong 2027 schedule" and that, with the help of partners, it had made meaningful progress in how players travel, where events are played and the size of purses. The tour said total purses for regular events, excluding the majors, will rise by about $12 million to more than $94 million. Hankook Ilbo reported that 18 events outside the majors are expected to offer more than $3 million. According to Yonhap, The Classic, at $5 million, has the largest purse apart from the majors and the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship, followed by the JM Eagle LA Championship ($4.75 million) and the FM Championship ($4.7 million). Hankook Ilbo reported that the season opens in early February with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando, Florida, followed by an Asian swing of the Honda LPGA Thailand in Pattaya, the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore and the new Futu Ladies World Championship in Hong Kong. Yonhap said the Hong Kong event will be held in March at Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club, and that Hawaii will host the Nanea Cup and the Lotte Championship in consecutive weeks. The Chevron Championship will be held in April at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas; the U.S. Women's Open in May at Inverness Club in Ohio; the KPMG Women's PGA Championship in June at Congressional Country Club in Maryland; and the Amundi Evian Championship in July at Evian Resort Golf Club in France. The AIG Women's Open, the season's last major, will be played in August at Royal St George's Golf Club in Sandwich, England, a former British Open venue. [ 2 , 4 ]
