Peng Yu (彭玉), a film and television performing artist and first-class actor, died peacefully in Zhuhai at 10:27 on October 7, 2026, at the age of 93, according to the actors' working committee of the China TV Artists Association (中视协演员工作委员会). China News Service reported that the committee announced the death on its official Weibo account, and that Peng had served as an adviser to the committee. Xinhua also reported the actor's death.
