"Because of the people who stay in front of the hotel we are staying at all day, the members and staff are having a very hard time," RM wrote. He said the noise reaches inside the rooms so that everyone is struggling to sleep, and that the group was becoming a great nuisance to other guests at the same hotel. In the full text of the post published by Chosun Ilbo, he says the same was true in Colombia. [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ]
RM said he was grateful for the warm welcome and enthusiasm, but that if the members cannot rest and sleep enough, the concerts will be affected. He asked fans not to keep staying in front of hotels, not only in Lima but also in Chile, Brazil and Argentina and later in several Asian countries. He wrote that he trusted ARMY, the group's fans, whom he called the coolest fans in the world, to understand. According to Dong-A Ilbo and Chosun Ilbo, he added that he hoped both sides could have a more mature and proud relationship; Chosun Ilbo's text ends with him saying the group would do its best at that day's concert. BTS has been on its world tour 'Arirang' since April. Maeil Business said the tour began in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and described it as the largest world tour in K-pop, while Chosun Ilbo said the South American leg began in Bogota, Colombia, on 2-3 October. [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ]
The outlets give different dates for the Lima shows. Hankook Ilbo says they run from 7 to 10 October local time at Estadio San Marcos, and Dong-A Ilbo says they are held on 7 and 9-10 October at the same stadium. Maeil Business lists Lima on 9-10 October, followed by Santiago, Chile, on 14-17 October and Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 21-24 October. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
Why it matters
The request comes during the South American leg of the group's 'Arirang' world tour, and RM said it applies to the remaining stops in Latin America and Asia. Korean outlets framed it as a direct plea to the group's own fans over conduct that, he said, affects the performances and other hotel guests.
