The preventive measure imposed on Lida Moniava (Лида Мониава), founder of Dom s Mayakom (Дом с маяком), has been lifted, TASS and Vedomosti reported on 8 October. RIA Novosti reported that the measure on the head of Dom s Mayakom had been lifted. TASS described Dom s Mayakom as a children's hospice, while Vedomosti called it a charitable foundation. Her lawyer, Mikhail Biryukov (Михаил Бирюков), told Vedomosti that the measure was lifted after the criminal case against her was dropped. "Yes, I confirm," Biryukov told Vedomosti. [ 3 ]
On 6 October it became known that the criminal case against Moniava had been dropped for lack of the elements of a crime, Vedomosti reported. She had been charged under point "d" of part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Russian Criminal Code, which concerns spreading knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces. Moscow's Simonovsky court imposed the measure, a ban on certain actions, on Moniava on 3 September, according to Vedomosti. Under it she wore an electronic bracelet and was barred from leaving home between 20:00 and 08:00 and from using the internet and phone. The restrictions were initially set to last until 30 October.
