The three major A-share indices all turned positive, CLS, 36Kr and Yicai reported on October 9. CLS said the indices recovered in the afternoon and that the core indices all moved into positive territory. Earlier in the session, according to CLS, the Shanghai Composite Index had fallen nearly 1.5%, the Shenzhen Component Index more than 2.5%, the ChiNext index more than 3% and the STAR 50 index more than 4%. 36Kr reported that, as the three major indices turned positive, the STAR 50 index had narrowed its decline to 0.06%. Yicai carried only a headline stating that the three major indices had all turned positive. [ 2 , 3 ]
