The Russian government has introduced a deferral on the payment of several taxes and insurance contributions and suspended tax inspections for sellers on Ozon, describing the support as aimed at businesses hurt by drone attacks on facilities of the Internet Resheniya group (Ozon). Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the decree, Kommersant and Vedomosti reported, with Vedomosti saying the cabinet announced it. [ 1 , 2 ]
Under the decree, deadlines are extended by 12 months for profit tax, VAT, personal income tax, tax under the simplified system (USN) and the professional income tax (NPD), as well as for insurance contributions and advance payments on them due between August 2026 and July 2027. On-site tax inspections and inspections of the calculation and timely payment of insurance contributions are suspended until the end of 2026. The measures apply to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs that have a current contract with the Internet Resheniya group and meet at least one of two conditions: registration after December 2025, or damage exceeding 5% of annual income. Vedomosti reported that deputy prime minister Dmitry Grigorenko said sellers will not need to apply for the deferral separately: it will be granted automatically on the basis of registries that Ozon will send to the Federal Tax Service and territorial insurer bodies. According to the same outlet, deadlines for sending demands for payment of arrears and for taking decisions on collecting them are extended by six months, and the damage calculation may take into account combined damage from attacks on the RVB and Internet Resheniya groups. [ 2 ]
Vedomosti said it reported on 22 September that the Finance Ministry was working on deferrals and instalment plans for Ozon and its sellers by analogy with RVB. It said the need for support arose after a series of drone attacks on the logistics infrastructure of Russia's largest marketplaces, with Wildberries warehouses first coming under attack on 18 July and Ozon logistics centres on 22 August. Kommersant reported that similar support measures had earlier been introduced for RVB (Wildberries) entrepreneurs, a point Vedomosti does not confirm. vc.ru also reported the decision, highlighting the deferral of taxes and insurance contributions and the exemption from tax inspections. Why it matters
The decree cushions sellers on one of Russia's largest marketplaces after attacks on its logistics infrastructure, and follows comparable relief that Kommersant says was earlier introduced for Wildberries (RVB) sellers. Vedomosti reports that the relief is to be granted automatically through Ozon's own registries rather than by individual application, which shapes how quickly affected businesses can use it.
