China News Service reported that more than 10 Chinese and foreign films are showing over the holiday, covering comedy, suspense, romance and animation. It described 《神探之痕迹》 as the story of trace-examination expert Cui Xun, drawn from real cases and modelled on Cui Daozhi, a recipient of the July 1 Medal, following his investigative life across more than half a century. Other titles it listed include 《什么意思夫妇》, a comedy starring Xiao Shenyang and Shen Chunyang about a long-married couple who swap bodies; 《重生2》, a sequel about two victims who have lost close relatives; 《活色生香》, on the lives of three older Shanghai women; 《侦战》, a locked-room mystery; the first 3D Peppa Pig film 《小猪佩奇・完美假期》; 《野兽之心》 starring Brad Pitt; and the new Resident Evil film 《生化危机：爆发夜》. The official outlet also reported that filming locations for the holiday films have drawn visitors. It said Leling film and television city in Dezhou, Shandong, has nearly 100,000 square metres of live-action shooting space and nearly 400 buildings, and that Shitanjing cultural tourism and film town in Dawukou district, Shizuishan, Ningxia, a location for 《欢迎来龙餐馆》, has restored film scenes, reproduced dishes from the film and set up interactive experiences. Harbin, a main location for 《神探之痕迹》, has promoted ice and snow products available year-round, while 《活色生香》 was shot in Shanghai and 《什么意思夫妇》 and 《重生2》 mainly in Foshan and Jiangmen in Guangdong, it said.
