Democratic Party leader Kim Min-seok said on 7 October that Supreme Court Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae should step down if he cannot resolve the issue of re-recommending Supreme Court justice candidates, according to Yonhap and Maeil Business. Kim was responding to Cho's position that the re-recommendation has no basis in the constitution, as reported by Yonhap and Maeil Business. Asked about the chief justice, Kim said that “if he cannot handle such a matter, he had better quit,” the two outlets reported. [ 2 , 3 ]
