Oman's Royal Air Force evacuated ten crew members from the Panama-flagged vessel On Peace after it was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz and caught fire, according to a statement from the Omani air force cited by Interfax and Kommersant. [ 3 , 4 ]
Interfax, citing the Omani air force statement as carried by EFE, said the vessel was attacked nine nautical miles northeast of the town of Limah on Oman's northern coast. Kommersant, citing Al Arabiya and Oman's armed forces, placed the attack near Musandam province and said the ship caught fire after being shelled. [ 3 , 4 ]
The evacuated crew members were flown by helicopter to hospital and received medical care, according to the Omani air force statement.
