Bucheon offers half-price admission at six attractions to local university students

Bucheon, in Gyeonggi Province, began offering half-price admission to six of its major attractions on Oct 6 for students at four universities in the city, Kyunghyang Shinmun reported. Kyunghyang Shinmun listed admission at 3,000 won for Supia, 4,000 won for daytime entry to the Nature Ecology Park, 5,000 won each for the Korea Manhwa Museum and Robo Park, and 4,000 won for the Astronomical Science Museum. For Bucheon Luminarae, the night facility at the Nature Ecology Park, visitors pay the 12,000 won entry fee and receive 6,000 won back as a Bucheon Love gift certificate, the newspaper said. [ 3 ]
To receive the discount, students must show a student ID or an enrollment certificate issued by their university, according to Kyunghyang Shinmun. The city said it expects the program to widen students' cultural and leisure opportunities and to raise use of local attractions, and it said foreign students experiencing Bucheon's cultural and tourist sites and sharing them on social media would help publicise the city. Baek Hye-kyung, head of the city's youth and youth division, said, “I hope university students and foreign students will enjoy a variety of cultural activities alongside their studies and build rich experiences in Bucheon.” [ 3 ]
