BMW Group announced on October 8 that the MINI Countryman Untamed Edition special edition is planned to be introduced to the Chinese market in 2027, Jiemian and IT Home reported. Yicai also reported that the car will be introduced to China in 2027. According to Jiemian, it is the largest model in the MINI family and carries the ALL4 all-wheel drive system. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
IT Home reported that the special edition made its global debut at Lake Tahoe in the United States and is based on the new-generation MINI Countryman. At the front, a redesigned grille has vertical black trim strips with a carbon steel grey surround, and the raised part of the bonnet is covered with a matte black textured protective film. The matte black wheel arch trims have short-line embossing, and the car has new 19-inch "UNTAMED EDITION SPOKE" alloy wheels with a carbon steel grey MINI lettering at the centre. An Untamed badge on the C-pillar combines a blue mountain graphic with the word UNTAMED. [ 3 ]
Inside, blue is the main colour of the cabin, IT Home reported. The sport seats in longkui blue (龙葵蓝) use perforated Vescin material, with knitted fabric at the shoulders and headrests. The ABS anti-lock braking system, DSC dynamic stability control system and steering were specifically calibrated for the special edition, and the ALL4 all-wheel drive system is described as giving stronger traction on various road surfaces.
