Amazon Bedrock, the large-model platform of Amazon Web Services, announced on Tuesday that it has added Zhipu's GLM-5.3, with AWS sharing revenue with Zhipu based on model call volume, according to CLS, Jiemian and IT Home. Jiemian reported the Bedrock announcement, and IT Home carried the same details citing a CLS report. [ 1 , 2 , 4 ]

The AWS arrangement is one of several, the reports said. Besides AWS, Zhipu has recently put revenue-sharing models in place with a number of overseas cloud vendors, and the company has previously said it plans to add a commercially scalable path through revenue sharing on overseas cloud platforms, CLS reported. In China, Zhipu has signed similar revenue-sharing agreements with leading cloud vendors including Alibaba Cloud's Bailian platform, while Huawei Cloud has listed GLM-5.3 and reached intent on comparable cooperation, according to the same reports. CLS described the arrangements as a revenue-sharing system spanning China and overseas. [ 1 , 2 ]

IT Home, citing the CLS report, also carried Zhipu's disclosed results: first-half 2026 revenue of 954 million yuan, up 399.7% year on year, and an attributable loss of 2.071 billion yuan, 12.1% narrower than a year earlier. It said Zhipu announced in September a financing of about $5 billion, made up of roughly $2 billion in share placement and about $3 billion in convertible bonds, intended for research on next-generation GLM foundation models and a fully self-training system, and for large-scale training, production inference, computing resources and related technical infrastructure. [ 2 ]

In the market, CLS reported that Zhipu shares rose more than 7% on the day the GLM-5.3 listing was reported. [ 3 ]

Why it matters

The arrangement adds an overseas revenue-sharing channel for a Chinese model developer and extends a similar model at home, which the documents describe as a commercial path Zhipu expects to scale. The financial figures reported by IT Home show rapid revenue growth alongside a continuing attributable loss, so the significance of the channel depends on volumes not disclosed in the documents.
