DigitalX, the virtual asset platform of the Mirae Asset Group, said on 22 October that it had held a compliance training for all employees. The session, called the '2026 second-half compliance training', was run by the risk management division on 21 October and took as its theme the importance of preventing incidents in transactions requiring special attention. [ 1 , 2 , 4 ]
According to Asia Economy and Kyunghyang Games, such transactions are those in which manual, non-automated intervention by staff makes errors more likely. They named airdrops, event reward payments, payment cancellations, inheritance and mistaken transfers as examples, all of which move assets at a user's request. [ 1 , 4 ]
Both outlets said the training reflected the Digital Asset Exchange Alliance (DAXA) having added control procedures for these transactions to its risk management model guidelines in July. The session covered handling procedures by transaction type, approval standards for event reward payments, the operation of separate management accounts, internal and external incident reporting, and recent industry incident cases. It put particular weight on controls against wrong and excess payments. [ 1 , 4 ]
Kyunghyang Games gave further detail. It said the controls include separating management accounts by payment purpose, separating the department that requests a payment from the one that carries it out, and varying approval steps by payment size. After an incident, staff are to report at once to the department head and the risk management officer and take first steps such as cancelling erroneous transactions in bulk or blocking deposits and withdrawals, followed by reporting to financial authorities and sharing with DAXA, the outlet said. [ 4 ]
The same outlet said the training also covered disputes over wrong payments and event rewards, and stressed that without safeguards such as input validation and double approval, a simple mistake could lead to sudden price moves or large financial losses, or to sanctions by supervisory authorities. [ 4 ]
The session also reviewed the code of ethics, the virtual asset user protection act and the ban on using undisclosed material information. DigitalX chief executive Oh Sejin (오세진) was quoted as saying a single small mistake in this area bears directly on customer assets and market trust. He said all employees should strictly follow set procedures and that the company would keep upgrading its internal control system to build a trading environment where customers can feel at ease. Why it matters
The training reflects tighter management standards after the exchange consortium DAXA added controls for such transactions to its risk management guidelines in July, according to the outlets. The documents describe an internal training and give no sign of an actual incident at DigitalX.
