Por qué importa
The donation links a foreign carmaker’s Korean unit to local training of automotive students as the industry shifts toward electrification and software, a workforce need the company says it wants to support. Maeil Business reported Volvo Car Korea has made similar donations to other Korean automotive departments and has run an apprentice programme since 2018, suggesting this is part of an ongoing practice rather than a one-off. The item itself is corporate giving and has limited relevance outside Korea.
