Japanese Ramen Simulator gets Oct 9 early access launch after Steam review delay
Коротко

Wild Dog announced on Oct 6 that its ramen-shop management simulator “Japanese Ramen Simulator” will enter early access on PC via Steam on Oct 9 at 17:00. The game had been scheduled for release on Sept 28, but that date passed without a launch because Steam’s pre-release review was not complete. 4Gamer.net likewise reported the Oct 9 early access release date. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
In its official Discord, the studio said the game had passed Steam’s review and that the new date and time were fixed, and it apologised again for postponing the original Sept 28 date and for leaving players without a confirmed date afterwards. Automaton reported that on Oct 2 the studio said it had finished addressing Steam’s points, which concerned controller support settings and cloud sync, and had resubmitted, but was told the review team was busy with many requests. Game*Spark reported that the CEO of Wild Dog, Hiroto Nakajo, said on his X account on Sept 29 that no review result had arrived, adding that the game had been submitted for review more than three weeks earlier. On Sept 16 the studio had announced an early access start of Sept 28 at 09:00. [ 2 ]
The launch will come with a release sale: 15% off, or ¥1,615 including tax, against a regular price of ¥1,900. Game*Spark said the discounted price was lowered from the original plan as an apology for the delay. The studio also reported that Steam wishlist registrations have passed 200,000, double the 100,000 recorded on Sept 24, shortly before the postponed release date. [ 1 , 2 ]
The game is a ramen-shop simulator in which players handle everything from preparing ingredients to cooking, serving and cleaning up, with physics-based preparation and plating, and side items such as gyoza and beer. Automaton says it supports up to 10 players in multiplayer, with six recommended, while Game*Spark says it is playable by up to six; solo players can hire NPC staff instead. Events include the arrival of ramen critics, thieves targeting the register and fires, which players handle with items such as shuriken and fire extinguishers, and store layouts and decorations can be customised. Wild Dog is a Japanese indie studio whose members have experience on AAA and indie titles and which released the multiplayer digging game “Keep Digging” in 2025, according to Automaton. The studio says it will improve systems and add content based on feedback during early access, which is planned to last about six months; Game*Spark reports the price will rise in stages as large content is added and full release approaches. Почему это важно
The game drew unusually large attention for a Japanese indie title before release, with wishlists doubling to more than 200,000 during the delay, so the Oct 9 start is the first test of that interest. The delay also illustrates how Steam’s pre-release review queue can hold up a finished game, a point the studio CEO raised publicly. During early access, which is planned to last about six months, the studio says it will keep updating the game based on player feedback.
