HoYoLand 2026, the offline fan festival held by game company HoYoverse, opened on Oct. 2 at the second exhibition hall of KINTEX in Ilsan and runs for four days through Oct. 5, according to on-site reports from Gamemeca, Kyunghyang Games and Inven. Kyunghyang Games reported that all 34,000 admission tickets were sold out and that the entire event operates on advance reservations, citing HoYoverse Korea. [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 ]
This is the third consecutive year for HoYoLand, Gamemeca and Kyunghyang Games reported. Five HoYoverse titles are taking part: Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, Tears of Themis, Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero. The event occupies halls 7 and 8 and includes experience booths built around each title's settings and characters, a merchandise zone, food and drink areas, a DIY zone, partner booths and community event space, according to Kyunghyang Games. Queues formed from the first day. Kyunghyang Games reported waiting times of more than 120 minutes at mini-game and prize-draw booths, and in a separate report said the fortune-drawing booth in the Genshin Impact area drew the longest line at the venue, around three hours. That booth was themed “Serenade to the Moonlight” and included photo zones based on in-game scenery, the outlet reported. [ 2 , 4 ]
Cosplayers, both official participants and individual attendees, could be seen across the venue, with visitors queueing to take photographs with them, Kyunghyang Games reported. The same outlet said a cosplay parade is scheduled for Oct. 4 and 5, and that the main stage hosts lucky draws, cosplay programmes, per-title performances and quiz shows across the four days, with a Genshin Impact quiz programme held on the afternoon of the first day. Gamemeca reported that goods on display included fan-made second-hand creative items alongside official merchandise, and that fan art from around the world was exhibited. Kyunghyang Games reported that Google Play, Galaxy Store and Monster Energy ran events offering coupons and photo cards, that the merchandise zone sells HoYoLand 2026 limited items, and that visitors can make zipper-bag keyrings and eco bags in the DIY zone. HoYoverse Korea said it will also attend GISTA 2026, held in Busan from Nov. 19 to 22, returning after four years in order to widen its contact with Korean users, according to Gamemeca, Kyunghyang Games and Inven. Inven reported the company will set up demonstration booths for two new titles, Honkai: Nexus Anima and Petit Planet. A HoYoverse Korea official said the company will continue to present diverse experiences that bring out the character of each title so that HoYoLand can grow into a representative festival that fans look forward to and build together each year, and that it will broaden its contact with users at GISTA as well, Kyunghyang Games reported. Why it matters
The event is the company's main offline contact point with Korean players, and the outlets reporting it treat it as the country's largest single-publisher game festival. HoYoverse Korea's planned return to GISTA 2026, including demonstration booths for two new titles, points to a wider push for Korean users beyond its existing fan base.
