World Vision said 3,000 people took part in the 2026 Global 6K Marathon Busan event, held on October 3 at Dadaepo Beach Park, Yonhap reported. The international relief and development NGO said the Busan event and a Seoul event on June 20 drew 8,000 participants in total. [ 1 ]
Participants walked or ran 6 kilometres, which World Vision says is the average distance children walk each day to obtain water; the agency said the event was meant to recall the value of clean water and the severity of drinking-water and sanitation problems.
