Interfax, citing the Telegram channel of the Russian Investigative Committee, said that between 2021 and 2024 the RZD employees, acting as an organized crime group, received bribes totaling 88 million rubles from the general director of a transport company. The East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office said the payments were made for unimpeded and prompt servicing of wagons at stations and for priority rights to transport cargo. The same office said the defendants also passed bribes to other officials in exchange for information about planned loading volumes and for connivance in service, with the investigation putting those bribes at more than 10 million rubles. According to the prosecutor's office, the defendants admitted guilt and actively assisted the investigation.
