One configuration it listed has a Core 5 320 processor, 16GB of memory, a 256GB SSD and Windows 11 Pro, with a 2,240 by 1,400 display rated at 400cd per square metre. ASCII.jp reported Core Series 3 processors delivering up to 39 TOPS, 16 to 32GB of memory, 256 to 512GB of storage, a 56Wh battery and a 65W GaN adapter weighing about 160g. Both outlets list two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 7 and an optional 5G modem. [ 1 , 3 ]

HP Japan also announced the HP OmniBook X Aero 14 for consumers, with up to 21 hours of battery life, Core 5 or Core 7 processors and up to 32GB of memory. PC Watch said it goes on sale from late November at a price from 209,800 yen. [ 1 ]

ASCII.jp reported that the EliteBook was presented at the HP Future of Work AI Conference 2026, the third edition of the event. HP Japan president Nobuki Okado (岡戸伸樹) predicted there that about half of AI inference processing will take place at the edge by 2030, and said the company aims to become an "AI produce company". According to ASCII.jp, the company launched the HP Hybrid AI Promotion Committee (HPハイブリッドAI推進コミッティ) in May, with partners including Rakuten Group, Upstage and PKSHA.
