ASUS announced the Zenbook 14 UX3480 series, a line of 14-inch mobile notebooks that can be configured with processors from three different vendors, according to the three technology outlets covering the launch. The series goes on sale in Japan from October 7. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]

On the Intel side, buyers can choose a Core Ultra 9 386H, Core Ultra 7 355 or Core Ultra 5 325. ASCII.jp said the Intel models span 13 configurations priced from 209,800 yen to 299,800 yen and launch on October 7, with LPDDR5X-7467 memory of 16GB or 24GB, NVMe SSDs of 256GB to 1TB, and a 14-inch OLED display at either 2880×1800 with a 120Hz refresh rate or 1920×1200 at 60Hz. PC Watch cited a Core Ultra 9 386H example with 24GB of memory, 512GB or 1TB of storage and a starting price of 279,800 yen, and put Intel battery life at about 29 hours. [ 1 , 3 ]

AMD models use a Ryzen AI 7 345 or Ryzen AI 5 330 and, according to ASCII.jp, cover six configurations priced from 219,800 yen to 289,800 yen, with launches on October 21 and November 6. PC Watch cited a Ryzen AI 7 345 configuration with 16GB of memory, a 512GB SSD and a starting price of 239,800 yen. The Qualcomm models use a Snapdragon X X1-26-100 with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD; ASCII.jp listed four configurations at 189,800 to 209,800 yen, launching October 21 with some configurations on October 7, while PC Watch gave a starting price of 189,800 yen. ASCII.jp said the AMD models reach about 33 hours of battery life, the longest in the series, while the Qualcomm models run about 30 hours. [ 1 , 3 ]

Across the series, the lid uses a material ASUS calls Ceraluminum, which combines aluminium and ceramic, and the chassis is tested to the MIL-STD 810H standard, according to ASCII.jp and PC Watch. Both outlets said the models comply with Copilot+ PC requirements, and PC Watch added that the processors include NPUs and that the 16:10 OLED display supports DisplayHDR True Black and 100% DCI-P3, with an EasyLift hinge and a 2.07-megapixel IR web camera. Two colours are offered, Comodo Coral and Arctic Blue. Qualcomm models weigh about 1.1kg and Intel and AMD models about 1.3kg, with body dimensions of roughly 311×215.8×13.9–16.9mm. [ 1 , 3 ]

The outlets reported prices differently: ASCII.jp gave ranges for each processor family and a total of 23 models, while PC Watch gave a starting price for one named configuration in each family. The documents do not reconcile the two sets of figures. [ 1 , 3 ]

Why it matters

The launch is a product-availability story for the Japanese PC market, where the same chassis is being offered with three competing processor platforms. As a tech-outlet announcement, it signals that Copilot+ PC branding and on-device NPUs are now standard across ASUS's mainstream 14-inch premium line. The documents give no basis for broader market impact.
