Nationwide school assessment tests in Russia will be held from April 19 to May 21, 2027 for students in grades 4-8 and 10, the federal education regulator Rosobrnadzor said, according to RIA Novosti, TASS and Interfax. Interfax, citing a statement posted on the regulator's website, said the window covers those grades. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
TASS reported that the VPR have already begun in organizations of secondary vocational education (SPO). [ 2 ]
Interfax said the watchdog reminded that VPR results are used to identify educational organizations with low educational results and signs of biased grading, to adjust and shape municipal and regional programmes for developing the education system, to improve methods of teaching school subjects, and to identify teachers' professional needs and gaps. Rosobrnadzor also said a new edition is being prepared of the government decree that approved the list of education quality assessment measures and the rules for carrying them out, Interfax reported. [ 3 ]
In addition, a study of schoolteachers' subject, methodological and general pedagogical competencies will be held in November 2026, Interfax reported, with primary school, Russian language, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology teachers taking part. [ 3 ]
