OpenAI has launched an Ultrafast version of its GPT-6.1 Sol model in its API, Codex and ChatGPT Work, according to Chinese tech outlets. 36Kr, citing Jiemian (界面), reported that the launch took place on October 8 local time, according to OpenAI developers. IT Home reported that OpenAI Developers announced the launch officially. Yicai also reported the launch. [ 2 , 3 , 4 ]
36Kr and IT Home both reported that the Ultrafast version is priced at $12 per million input tokens and $60 per million output tokens. IT Home said this is six times the price of the standard version, Sol Standard, and that the Ultrafast version runs at up to eight times its speed. IT Home put the prices at about 80.5 yuan and 402.7 yuan at current exchange rates. [ 3 , 4 ]
According to IT Home, in Codex and ChatGPT Work the feature is now open to Pro 500 plans, eligible usage-based Enterprise plans and credit-based Edu plans, and enterprise administrators must enable access. IT Home said the Ultrafast version is live in all supported regions and fully supports data residency services within the United States and the European Union. [ 4 ]
