OpenAI is rolling out its GPT-6 model and a new feature called Intelligent UI to the Chat function of ChatGPT, Korean outlets reported on October 8. The update applies to the more than 1.2 billion people who use ChatGPT every week. ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users get GPT-6 Sol (솔), while the free tier and the Go (고) plan get GPT-6 Luna (루나). According to ZDNet Korea and Newsis, paid users receive it in stages from October 8 Korean time and free users from October 9. Intelligent UI changes how answers are displayed depending on the question. When information needs comparing, it is laid out side by side or in tables and charts; when users need to enter values, ChatGPT builds input fields and buttons. A request for a travel itinerary shows places and routes on a map, and users can build calculators for how savings grow or for splitting a meal bill, then change the numbers directly instead of asking again. OpenAI said it trained GPT-6 to decide not only what to say but how to present it, including layout, visuals and interactive elements. AI Times reported that OpenAI built its own native streaming component library and compiler so interface elements appear step by step as the answer is generated, and that users can reduce visual elements through personalisation settings. On speed, GPT-6 shows information it has already found during complex, multi-step tasks and adds further results as they arrive. In OpenAI's internal evaluation, GPT-6 Instant began answering web-search questions 44% faster on average than GPT-5.6 Instant, a figure that measures time to first answer, not time to finish. AI Times reported that in everyday agentic tasks GPT-6 Extra High started answering in about the same time as GPT-5.6 Medium while scoring higher overall than GPT-5.6 Extra High. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]
OpenAI said it added training against misuse in high-risk areas such as cyberattacks, biology and violence, improved resistance to multi-turn attempts to bypass safeguards, and made the model explain its limits more accurately when it lacks information or tools. The models behind ChatGPT's Work function and the Codex coding tool are unchanged. ZDNet Korea added that Enterprise availability may depend on organisation administrator settings. [ 1 , 2 ]
