GTA 6 leaker Cyberleek has released a new video of unreleased Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay footage and cutscenes, GameSpot, GamesRadar+ and IGN reported on October 8. GameSpot and GamesRadar+ said the video is 25 minutes long, while IGN said 24 minutes. GamesRadar+ cited Rockstar community member and dataminer TexFunz2 as reporting on Twitter that Cyberleek released 367 MB of footage. GameSpot said the release came weeks before the game's release, and IGN said Rockstar had reiterated a launch date of November 19. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]

IGN said the video is titled "GTA 6: An Extended Leek" and reportedly contains cutscenes revealing story beats, playable characters Jason and Lucia naked, and a first-person camera for driving. GameSpot said the ZIP file is reportedly titled "Extended Leek", a riff on Rockstar's official "GTA 6: An Extended Look", a trailer of roughly 26 minutes that originally aired as a timed exclusive on Netflix. GamesRadar+ said footage shared on social media includes cutscenes, in-game racing events, nude gameplay of Jason and first-person gameplay, and noted that Rockstar had not confirmed a first-person mode for GTA 6. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]

IGN reported that at one point in the video what looks like a developer menu is used to spawn a tank, and said Cyberleek may have enabled nudity for the video in a way players will not be able to use in the game. IGN said it remains unclear how the footage, or any build of the game it was taken from, got past Rockstar's security. It added that the video ends with a message suggesting Cyberleek wants more money for a mystery project. [ 3 ]

According to GameSpot, the leak was flagged in a post on the Cyberleek subreddit by a user who shared an image of what appeared to be a newly uploaded file. Reports earlier in the week had suggested another release after a poll appeared with a deadline of October 8, and activity on the project's cryptocurrency wallet reportedly resumed; GameSpot said it was not clear whether the original person behind Cyberleek was behind that activity. [ 1 ]

Cyberleek released a series of GTA 6 clips in August before going quiet. GamesRadar+ said the earlier leaks included gameplay footage, the game's apparent map and a four-minute clip of Lucia's prologue, and that the leaker went silent in late August with about $250,000 in crypto earnings. IGN said the August leaks prompted an investigation by Rockstar's parent company Take-Two, with subpoenas issued to Discord among others, and that Rockstar called the situation "heartbreaking" for its development team and "unfortunate" for fans. IGN said Cyberleek claimed to be leaking material to highlight the death of physical media, while charging fans in cryptocurrency to vote on further leaks. [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]

Why it matters

The footage puts story spoilers into circulation weeks before the game's release, which Rockstar has set for November 19, according to IGN. IGN said the release suggests Cyberleek remains at large after Take-Two's investigation into the August leaks, and GamesRadar+ said it could be the start of a new string of leaks.
