The Changgyeonggung Management Office, under the National Heritage Administration's Palace and Tomb Heritage Division, will hold a small concert at the Grand Greenhouse in Changgyeonggung, Seoul, on Oct 26, 30 and 31, Yonhap reported. The programme runs for four sessions in total. [ 1 , 2 ]
The Oct 26 sessions, at 10:00 and 14:30, are held with Dong Suh Foods' coffee brand Kanu and are to explain the Western-style greenhouse and coffee culture that arrived in Korea in the modern period, according to Yonhap. Asia Economy reported that the Oct 26 programme includes a docent-led walk from Honghwamun to the Grand Greenhouse, followed by coffee talk and a tasting with baristas Kim Ga-eun and Kim Seung-baek, described as past winners of the Kanu Barista Championship, alongside performances combining gayageum, haegeum and cello. The Oct 30 and 31 sessions, at 08:00, introduce fragrances that a perfumery expert developed by reinterpreting the plants and the space of the Grand Greenhouse, the documents said.
